It's not a slam, it not a poetry reading, it's
not a regular open mic, it's a Rant. A Rant is a juried open
mic: poems, not poets, are selected by their merit. Open
submission, blind selection, shotgun reading, and then a
celebration.
how to submit
After the reading the music begins. DJ's and
Poets are kindred spirits. What our poets do with words our DJ's do
with music; spinning unusual samples, themed sets, & music that
makes you think.

If you submit and are selected to read at our
show we will publish your poem on RantArt.com & you stand a very
good chance of being selected for print in a Rant Art anthology. We
know how hard it is to get published; we are making it a little bit

Our Outlook:
We are non-competitive. |
There is no winner; there are no judges, no
points, and no time limits. We clap, and hoot, and holler for our
poets, creating solidarity, in hopes that the supportive environment
will give them the security they need to take risks in their work.

You do not have to be a pro to get on our
stage. You do not have to be published, polished, or practiced. It's
about the poem; just bring in a good poem..
