Shannon has a Masters degree in poetry from Sarah Lawrence College. She has edited two poetry anthologies & been published in The Cauldron, The Gallatin Review, & Lumina. She is a two-time recipient of the Joan Baldwin Fellowship for mix media poetry.  Her 3-D poetry has been exhibited at Burning Man, Bath House Studios, & Splash Light Studios.  Shannon is currently the Resident Artist at the Boyajian Sculpture Barn. She was the cofounder, host, & producer of Spit East, an all women’s Slam Troop that had a successful four-year run. Noa is a prolific New York City DJ, who spins records into Art. Her former venues include The Rising Cafe, Enids, Bar 13, Orchid Lounge, The Boys Room, Galapagos & Cattyshack. She spins for Lip Service, *snapshot*, & Metropolitan. Noa has been dropping beats for over ten years, starting with a college radio show at WOZQ Northampton, MA then coming out strong on the New York City scene. Rant Art is so proud to have her. She is working closely with the Fluffers to blend some poetry with tunes. Her samples sound between each poet during the show & then she lets loose after the reading, spinning a full set. You will not only want to listen but dance, so wear your sneakers

The best bio for Ebone is a list of her muses. Ebone's  love and knowledge of music  not only takes form as a DJ, but also as a drummer and bassist. With influences including Bad Brains, Earth Wind & Fire, Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, KRS-One, Prince, Michael Jackson, Kraftwork, David Bowie fueling  her passion, she has showcase her interpretation of music in New York at Bembe, The Ripple Lounge, Karma, The Green Room, Chocolate Monkey, Belmont Lounge. Ebone brings her big ups & unparalleled enthusiasm to Rant Art.  Working the logistics of our music production, she is the girl to talk to about getting involved on the tables.
 

Aubrey is a well-seasoned performance poet.  She has been reading all over New York City for the past nine years.  She is a self-taught slamming poet who has cultivated a strong & unbridled voice.  Fearless & provoking, her work asks questions & challenges not only the audience but the universe - so really you should just come & see her read, because she is that good.  Her former venues include The Rising, Blue stockings, Meow Mix, & NYU.  She is also our list bouncer, so poets, she is the one you should woo.

Tara is a well of untapped talent.  A closeted poet she has been honing her skills in secret for years.  Rant Art is proud to welcome her to the Fluffers.  Her work is intrusive in the best way.  Open & challenging she speaks to the difficulties in just coping in a world where it’s hard to keep your eyes open. Her narrative work gives divine glimpses into her wild & unorthodox life,...I don’t want to give too much away so come & watch her work.  She will be the first Ranter you meet and she works the door so make a good impression - she might let you in for free.

She has been published in Plenty Magazine, Heeb Magazine and Topic Magazine. Currently she is working with the David and Minnie Meyerson Foundation on a photography project to build awareness for people with developmental disabilities.
